I was born in El Dorado, Arkansas and grew up south of there in a small community known as Three Creeks. I graduated high school from Junction City High School. I then attended South Arkansas Community College and obtained my Practical Nursing Certificate. While working as a Licensed Practical Nurse, I returned to college to obtain my degree as a Registered Nurse (RN) in 1999 from Baptist Schools of Nursing and Allied Health. After working as a RN for several years, I decided to further my education once again. I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Nursing in 2012 and have worked at Pierremont OBGYN Specialists since obtaining my board certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) at that time.
Women’s health, especially obstetrics, has always been dear to my heart. Having spent most of my nursing career in Labor and Delivery made choosing this specialty an easy decision. Taking care of women throughout the many stages of their life has always been something I have enjoyed and found to be extremely rewarding.
